Trans-Siberian Orchestra

I made my last personal purchase before Christmas this past weekend–Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s Night Castle.

I love Trans-Siberian Orchestra and would be in music heaven if I could see them live.  This cd didn’t disappoint either.  Sure, some of the songs are cheesy (what can you expect when it’s a cd that tells a story?).  I think the worst is “Childhood Dreams” when the singer repeats the word childhood multiple times in an up/down pattern.  One of my favorite songs is probably “Nutrocker,” regardless of the silly title.  The piano in it makes me long for my piano at home and/or for the day that I afford to buy a digital piano for my current location.

Overall, I’m happy with my final personal purchase of 2009 and plan on enjoying it while I’m sitting for hours on end at my computer writing papers and lesson plans.

I'm 30. When did that happen?

I don't feel 30, so I guess this is my attempt to figure out who I am at this point in my life that has snuck up on me oh-so-quickly.
